Mar. 1st, 2006 06:57 pmAnybody here aware of or familiar with current.tv? I just saw a want-ad posting on craigslist for THE JOB I WAS BORN TO DO.
It would be strange to switch jobs so quickly, but I'd be a fool not to persue this. It seems to entail everything from non-linear audio/video editing, to working with/on video broadcast equipment, to soldering wires/cables and repairing stuff. This is my calling, yo. Everything I like to do rolled into one. It would be a welcome change from the slow tedious testing procedures I'm quickly getting tired of at my new job. So I'm totally going to apply for this.
But.... they want a "reel" along with the usual application, resume, etc. This means I need to show what kind of video editing wizard I am. Sooo.. I need copies of all the old stuff I've done, and for the most part, other people have it. I'll need to go to DCTV to pull tapes out of the archives (if they're even still there) and I especially want the old crazy videos I made with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
crunchpod. I intend to make a sort of self-documentary/demo-reel because most of what I've done is actually pretty crappy and I want to present it in an at least entertaining way. I give myself until the end of this weekend. BIG PROJECT!!
So, Mr. C/A/T, do you still have those videos? Could you make them available for me to download somehow? Pleeeeeeeeease?
