Jul. 5th, 2007 06:09 pmBluetooth is my friend today. I found this neat little OS X app called Proximity that detects bluetooth devices. When a specified device is in or out of range, you can execute some AppleScript of your choosing.
Using some of the info from this guy who suggested some code and scripts (compiled and available from this guy) and then a little bit of iChat away/available AppleScripting from this guy, I've got things set up just how I want it.
( my AppleScripts )
When I enter my lab, my screensaver unlocks, turns off, and my iChat status is set to Available. When I leave my lab, the screensaver turns on, gets password protected, and my iChat status is set to Away. All without lifting a finger. Nice.
