I just checked with my ISP, and if I go over my monthly bandwidth quota of 1GB, I'll get charged $4.95 per GB. That's OK, I guess. Now I'm not afraid to post the link to my video. I was worried it would put me over quota and then the Current TV people wouldn't be able to see it. Boy would that look unprofessional. My ISP (sonic.net) actually gives me the option to enable/disable quota protection, if I didn't want to go over. Pretty nice. I can also turn on/off port blocking on their end, too. They're a good ISP.

Anyway, here goes:

I know the encoding isn't perfect, but it looks OK.

I've put together a little site for it, which I'm going to modify some more tonight before I email them.

The high bandwidth video (which will look significantly better) isn't up yet, because it was still encoding when I left for work... and I didn't get to work until 11:30 am... :(

Feedback, please. If anybody dares read my novel of a cover letter and resume, please give feedback on that, too.

Does anybody care to comment on my video project? Tell me it's good. Tell me it sucks. I'm just curious what others think of it. If you can't bear to sit through the whole thing, that would be useful for me to know.

Also, even if you don't think it is that great, do you at least think it looks like it was made by somebody who is technically competant? Since I'm going to use this as part of a job application, I don't want to look like a complete tech doofus. I was in a hurry when I was making it, but I figure I might as well take my time to make sure this is good.

I'd say two weeks is a reasonable minimum ammount of time that a job posting would stay active... so I could give myself until Monday...
